Meet Lee

Principal Consultant

I specialise in recruiting all levels of marketing talent across B2C consumer brands, partnering with organisations within the Travel, Leisure, Beauty & Wellness sectors.

Prior to moving into recruitment, I developed a strong commercial foundation in media sales and marketing, holding roles with leading organisations including Sky TV and Clear Channel (Outdoor Media). This background gives me a deep understanding of the commercial, marketing, and customer-facing challenges businesses face in highly competitive consumer markets.

With more than 20 years' recruitment experience, including 15 years with Stopgap, I have built an extensive network and a strong track record of delivering exceptional talent for both clients and candidates. I take a consultative approach, combining sector expertise, market insight, and long-standing industry relationships to help businesses attract and retain high-performing professionals. I work part-time, with Monday to Wednesday as my primary office days.

Top tip for candidates and/or clients

In an exceptionally challenging recruitment market, flexibility has become increasingly important for both clients and candidates. Whether it's being open to transferable skills, evolving role requirements, hybrid working arrangements, or broader career opportunities, those who approach the market with adaptability and an open mind are often best positioned to achieve successful outcomes. My role is to provide honest market insight and strategic guidance, helping both businesses and individuals navigate these challenges and make informed decisions.

Maintaining regular and meaningful communication throughout the recruitment process is essential to keeping candidates engaged. At a time when so much of the hiring journey is driven by automation and AI, a personal and consultative approach can make a significant difference. Candidates value transparency, feedback, and genuine human interaction, and a personal touch remains one of the most effective ways to create a positive recruitment experience and build lasting professional relationships.

If I Were a Brand I’d Be

If I were a personal brand, I’d like to think I’d be something indulgent and experiential - perhaps a fine champagne or an exclusive travel brand blending my passion for travel with a love of exceptional quality, celebration, and memorable experiences.

Out of Office You’ll Find Me

Outside of work, I enjoy travelling to new places and seeking out exceptional restaurants and experiences. I spend time on long walks and stay active through cycling, yoga, and Pilates.
