We're a supportive, down-to-earth and ambitious team. Whether we’re working together in person or remotely, connection comes naturally — because we genuinely care about the work and the people around us. Stopgap was built to challenge impersonal recruitment. After seeing too many candidates left in the dark and poor relationship building with clients, our founder Claire set out to create something better - an agency grounded in integrity, expertise and care.

30+ years later, we’re proud to be a trusted partner for brands and agencies who seek informed advice and quality talent. Our growth has never meant losing what makes us different: honesty, warmth and the confidence to challenge when something doesn’t feel right.

Everyone needs time to switch off and recharge. Start with 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and we’ll add an extra day for each year you’re with us, up to 30 days.
